Pricing

Public pricing. No sales call.

Credits work like tokens: every run costs shots × the machine's per-shot rate, debited from your balance. Every rate is on this page. Every new account starts with 100 free credits — no card required.

How credits work

Quoted first. Held on submit. Settled when the machine answers.

01

Quote

Before anything is charged, the platform prices the run — POST /runs/quote — from the live catalog and your organisation's rate. The console, the lab and the SDK all show that number, never a local guess.

02

Hold

On submit the cost is held against your balance. A simulator run settles in seconds; a real machine may sit in a queue for hours — the hold is what makes the queue honest.

03

Settle or refund

When the run completes, the hold settles. Cancel a queued run and it comes back. A failure on the machine's side refunds automatically; a circuit that a machine's validator refuses is machine-side too. Only a run you asked for and got is money spent.

Per-shot rates

Every machine, one column of numbers.

Codenames are what the SDK and API take. The last column is a 5,000-shot run — the size of a typical experiment — so the scale is felt, not imagined.

cost = shots × per-shot rate — a 5,000-shot run on RoRo Sim is 5,000 × 0.005 = 25 credits, exactly what the run record shows. Catalog snapshot from the live platform, August 2026; the console's live catalog is always authoritative. Organisations can carry negotiated rates — the quote at submit is what binds.

Worked examples

Three real budgets, end to end.

A classroom

50 students, one semester

  • One lab run — 1,000 shots on RoRo Sim 1,000 × 0.005 = 5 cr
  • One student — 4 runs a week 4 × 5 = 20 cr
  • One semester — 15 weeks 15 × 20 = 300 cr
  • The whole class — 50 students 50 × 300 = 15,000 cr
  • Three 5,000-credit packages 3 × $47.50 = $142.50

$142.50 — under $3 per student for a full semester of weekly quantum labs. Each student's own 100 free credits add 5,000 more credits of headroom on top.

A hackathon team

One weekend, one real machine

  • Iterate free in the browser kernel 0 cr
  • 200 simulator runs × 2,000 shots 200 × 10 = 2,000 cr
  • Final result on RoRo Quantum A1, 4,096 shots 4,096 × 0.25 = 1,024 cr
  • Two backup hardware runs 2 × 1,024 = 2,048 cr

≈ 5,100 cr — one 5,000-credit package plus the team's free credits covers a weekend that ends with real quantum results in the demo.

A research sweep

Parameter scan on partner hardware

  • Warm-start free on roro.sim.sv 0 cr
  • 40 points × 1,000 shots on RoRo Quantum A1 40 × 250 = 10,000 cr
  • Cross-check 5 points on Rigetti Cepheus 5 × 2,125 = 10,625 cr

≈ 20,600 cr — one 25,000-credit package, with the sweep's manifests, histograms and comparison exportable straight from the lab.

What you will not find here

No "contact us for pricing". No surprise line items.

The rate you see is the rate you pay, per shot, per machine. Partner hardware is priced from what the partner charges us; our own simulators are priced to be used freely in teaching and iteration.

  • Local simulation in the browser lab is free — iterate there, spend on the run that matters.
  • Machine-side failures and cancelled queued runs refund automatically; the run record says which.
  • Education and volume: write to us — contact — and we quote a real number, not a call.
